Facebook customs

So what is the deal with people sending a chat message (or whatever it's called) and then getting off FB like two minutes after they send it? Wouldn't you think they might send a chat message while they might be on the computer for more than 30 seconds?

maybe they're shy, or simply can't type fast and get freaked out.
i generally don't like chats, so i just keep that chat function off all the time.
(i fall into the "can't type fast" category, btw.)

facebook lately has been having issues with chat where it just randomly kicks ppl off. I've had it happen a few time with ppl I know. Only reason I know this happened is that they would txt me after wards and say their chat wasn't working.
