She's 50 yrs old

last night we (Nick)kicked over the XLCH.

Started right up for nick. This last winter we installed new clutch and carb main jet.Rebuilt the motor last year.

Sounded good This motor was the hotest HD of its day.You could buy this bike without lights ready to race in 1960.

The title XLCH lost its merit over yrs as they lost the magnito Ign.,cams.And higher comp. pistons of the race bikes from the early yrs.

The thing about starting it?

Kick with all you've got or go home.

The owner has a tuff time @140lbs

Nicks strong and young which also helps

Make no mistake starting this bike will make a man of anyone.

Wadda ya mean?....A healthy Bonnie would eat that Sporty for breakfast and have another one for desert!

Now that I have the obligatory Brit bike owner's gauntlet thrown down...

Nice bike...Hope you guys bring it to Mods vs. Rockers...we want more HD's to turn out.

I have an agreement with my ankle to never try to start anything other tha a single without a button.

No shit. It's notorized and everything.

This is a cool HD though. I really don't care for anything newer than the early 70's sportys.

Ooohh....It's on, lads! Shall we go a lap around a scratcher's circuit or shall it be a standing start sprint with loser buying the winner's mates a round of pints?

Seriously...That bike is a 1960 model?

yes 1960 engine note mag.and tin clutch cover true signs of CH model

Although not all parts are 1960 I think we got the f/end off a 72 and I made many parts in the resurrection

A friendly spirited ride will show its wears. There will be no drag racing of my irreplacable bikes.

I concur...No need to stress the beauties in combat, just a friendly spirited ride it is then with a shared pitcher of a fine beverage afterward.

I wasn't serious about a race Gus, it was just friendly banter...I was VERY serious about wanting you to bring the Sporty to Mods vs. Rockers.

That includes ANY pushrod twin, my friend...A group ride of BSA's, Bonnies, Sportsters and Commando's...even with stock pre '75 pipes sounds like the God's are decending to earth in chariots of fire!
I'd throw in a BSA or Matcchless single or two just to add some bass!
A Symphony to be sure.
