Suggestions on where to place an ad?

So its come time to sell the bike... the wife and I have our first child, his name is Jonah Jeremiah and I promised myself I would stop riding when this happened.

I know this sounds crazy, but for this little guy I'm more than happy to do it.

What I was wondering is... where is a good place to advertise the sale of the bike? I put it on craigslist and here of course, is it worth taking an ad in cycle trader? Are there any other websites that you have had luck with because I get all sorts of ridiculous responses and low ball offers from craigslist.

Thanks for your help.

Joe

I sold 2 bikes on Ebay. I'm not sure if you're willing to try there or not.

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

Have it listed in as many places possible that is free. The more people you touch, the better chance you have of selling it. eBay works well also. If you aren't in a big hurry, try your free places first, then eBay. I sold a few bikes of CL, and a car on eBay.

I really respect your decision.

As a buyer, I've purchased bikes on CL and on HERE.

As a seller, I sold on eBay.

Thank you! As far as eBay, I've never sold anything on my account, only made purchases so I'm not sure how my rating would work and if people would trust buying a large purchase from me?

Just take plenty of good pics and give enough information and you should be fine. Also make sure to put in ad sold as is and that deposit will be lost if buyer doesn't follow thru.

I had a guy drive from FL to buy my 954RR and a guy from Tx pay for shipping on the R1.

Also make sure to put a reserve on it
