Funeral Home Displays Shooting Victim On Motorcycle For Wake

Holy shit, REALLY?

http://jalopnik.com/5526411/funeral-...cycle-for-wake

Quote:
Funeral Home Displays Shooting Victim On Motorcycle For WakeRather than display a Puerto Rican shooting victim's body in a boring casket for the wake, morticians at one San Juan funeral home presented the corpse on the man's Honda motorcycle.

Just because David Morales Colón is dead doesn't mean he can't also be stylish. According to Primera Hora, the 22-year-old Puerto Rican man was murdered in his San Juan neighborhood last Thursday. As a tribute to the young man, the Marin Funeral Home treated the body and then dressed him up in his typical riding outfit complete with helmet on top of the Honda CBR600 F4 the man's uncle had given to him.

As you can see in the video below, the mortician positioned the body as if he were riding his bike all the way to heaven, though it appears to be little solace to the crying friends and family in attendance.

And yes, this is real.

Myself, no. But if others want to, why not? Funerals and "showings" are kind of a funny thing to me. I have specificed in my living will that I am to go straight into the oven once my time's up.

Judging from his "typical riding outfit", he probably never used it.

I'm really suprised at the previous comments.

This is unique way of displaying the deceased, that reflects his love for motorcycles.

That had to have been a challenge for the mortician.

Rest in Peace.

Unless of course he was a gang banging, dope pushing, woman raping, child abusing, ingrate, then to hell with him

Ken.

Honestly I just think it's a little trashy. Maybe they'll stuff him and make it permanent or put his head on the mantel. If he was passionate for something like break dancing would they have posed him in headstand?

I'm with you on that. Some people can get really specific about the spreading of their ashes too. Me, just drop me into the wind someplace outdoors....let the recycling process begin!
