live everyday like last

Horrible day today. A friend arrived from out of town earlier this week and ended his life today. Spent the whole day viewing the aftermath in his mothers house after the housekeeper alerted me. Told her to call 911 and when I arrived the police, forensics, etc. were there.
Worse part was breaking the news to his mother when she arrived home from a overseas trip hours after the body was found. Luckily they removed him before the mother arrived. So odd sitting in a house with him right in eye shot in the next room. Big token of gratitude to the CPD for handling everything respectfully. To make things even more awkward, his mother is the owner of the company I work for. Going to be hard seeing her at work knowing what happen. Can't even imagine what she is going through and how many times she must be backtracking everything in her mind.
Before leaving she apologized for the whole thing and thanked me for taking care of everything in her absence. Simply told her that he was a good man and he would have done the same for me. Got a little smile out of her and a thank you again.

As already stated thers nothing anyone can say, My condolences, you need anything dont hesitate to ask.

Everyone needs a healthy way to relax, mine Church, and two wheels, a stretch of winding road, and a pipe loud enough to give me headaches and make squirrels explode. (Fixed curtousey of PWRMAD)

Nothing is impossible the second we say ill try your already admiting you can be defeated, and the second you say i cant or its to hard youve already failed.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I had to go through the same thing a few years ago with my late cousin. It's tragic but more often than not, there are no warnings or signs.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

This happens way more often than people think. Unfortunately if someone really wants to get the job done they will succeed and no amount of counseling or friend intervention will work.

I handled a ton of those as a Detective....I don't miss that part of the work at all. Always rough on the families....hopefully they have a good support structure.
