Riding without license plate

So I may or may have not been riding really fast from Arlington Heights to Aurora today to work. In between then, my fender eliminator fell off, temp plate and all. Any advice on what I should do?

don't waste your time with looking for it... I did that twice, one temp and one real plate, never showed up. Call a PD and report the plate stolen than go to the DMV and they can get you a new plate...

and yes buy a better fender eliminator...

Do the uncle steve approach. Anytime you get pulled over look at a fellow rider and most will act surprised saying "that must have been what fell off!"

Hillbilly keeps his rear plate under the passenger seat. That's how rednecks roll. I lost a plate (after leaving CP, hmmmm) and I paid $25 for a replacement. This was a regular plate, not a temperary.

Wheelie everywhere, then they won't know if you have a plate on or not.

You're fine if you get pulled over as long as you have the temporary registration. It can't be more than a couple weeks until you get your regular license plate anyways.

Yeah, speed home is the answer, order another kit and going to use nylocks, loctite, and not use stock bolts.

^this.
for next time- the zip ties haven't failed me & my license plate yet
the bolts failed within two weeks and I had to get another plate. At least it wasn't a vanity plate, I'd be pissed if I lose the current one.

Just watch. This cash-strapped state will find your plate, then mail you a ticket for littering.

Better yet, just dont worry about having one, and make sure you ride with XXXXXX I mean Jason. When he runs and the police chase him, it wont make a difference if youve got one or not! Last time we were riding together, I think 3 of the 6 of us didnt have plates - "Jason" ran, cop asked us to make him come back, we said we didnt know him and the cop took off looking for him. Didnt even ask the rest of us why we didnt have plates.

this happened to me about 1.5 years ago, have not had a plate on since and never been pulled over. I renew my registration every year and just keep the sticker in my jacket pocket w/my insurance info. A replacement plate is $6 or 2 of them for $9 (assuming you have the sticker w/you separately, otherwise its an extra $20). I do not plan to replace it until I get pulled over for it.
