going to 2 different fires??? who yields??

the whole first minute and half were the same intersection - must partly be a traffic engineering issue.

6:04 seen that before...amazing the biker was still moving after the collision.

If he remembered to point his toes, he may have scored higher. He will have to settle for the bronze.

I wanted to see the funny side of that video, but it is really scary. I can't believe the total lack of concentration that some of those drivers had to take red lights like that.

Hopefully no one was killed or seriously hurt in any of those.

Just based on the number of accidents somebody had to have been seriously hurt or killed.

I wish a driver license wasn't so easy to get.

That mother and child with the balloon that got hit. THAT is why the stop lines are so far back from the corners. That's what I'm talking about when people bitch about how much of a pain it is to stop so far back and inch forward to look through the turn.

Isn't that the video that is actually used by the company who sells those red ight cameras to show to municipalities looking to use their services? I wonder how many of the wrecks in that video could have been avoided by adjusting yellow light times as well as clearing obstructions from view of the intersection.

I don't think many of those shown would have mattered. Most where full red with many cars parked in adjacent lanes with a stream of cross-traffic ahead. That's simply the offending driver either (a) not paying any attention to what they are doing in the slightest bit, (b) DUIs, or (c) some other incapacitation (unconscious?). I'd bet that (a) is probably the large majority with the late-night accidents being largely DUIs. In fact, many of them were drivers turning left in front of oncoming traffic too. That's just poor decision-making on their part.

Does anyone know if the Chicago hit-and-run was fatal? The date is in the video but I didn't find anything on-line about it.
