Feeler: Thinking about selling a 2005 KWS GSXR 1000

Hey folks, just curious if there would be any interest in my KWS GSXR1000.

I find myself riding the big bikes less and less, and this thing is DEFINITELY BIG!

Anyhow, basics on the bike are that Safety First rebuilt the motor, and I have about 20-30 minutes breaking that new motor in since the rebuild.

SMOKIN' Fast!

What would anyone think that this thing would be worth at this point? And do you know anyone interested in it perhaps?

$6k for the 250, includes the spares and spare wheels as well.

Needs about $200 in parts.

I would LOVE to get 11k for it, but I doubt it's worth that in this market. I am guessing a couple of grand less or so.

Brian, gimme a call, maybe we can get you a bike this week

Is it too late for me to say "I'll give you $50 for it..." after someone says something like this?

In all honesty, from looking at the bikes posted on WERA, I'd say in the 8K range.

Bikes like that are hard to sell right now. IMHO.
The KWS bikes are niiiiice, but an '05 isn't good for contingency for a racer and limits your potential buyers. People don't seem to be much interested in newer, unbuilt 1K's for less $$ either. $11K would be nice, but you're right Brian, I don't think you're going to get close to that in the current market.

I would guess $8-9K, but I don't really know. Anyone with money to burn on a track bike is looking for a screaming deal. (Opinion based on trying to sell X's 1K)

I'd guess 8k as well, it's about as nice of trackbike as you can get, but for any more money than that you can get a new bike, which is easy to finance etc. Someone looking to buy a bike like this would be paying cash most likely and when times are tough, people are tight with their cash. Good luck with the sale though, that's an awesome bike that would cost a fortune to build on your own so no matter what the buyer pays they are getting a fantastic deal.
