Power for GoPro users

Yesterday I talked to GoPro tech support about my camera (it has flaked every time I took it out to use it - appears I got a lemon, it's on it's way back to them)

In any case their tech support is here in the states (SF) and the guy I talked to actually races motorcycles.

He was telling me that he had drilled a small hole in the side of his case and connected a Nokia mini - usb power connector directly into his GoPro. He then attached it to a powerlet adapter (I have a SAE Battery Tender lead already on the bike so I can link off of that)

Just thought it might be helpful for other GoPro users out there not to have to worry about batteries anymore.

He also told me that they had a "skeleton" case coming out soon that while not waterproof would allow you to plug in directly and that the neat attachments such as the LCD back and extended runtime LI battery were done and have been shipped off for manufacture so they should be available for purchase soon.

this is the connector I believe I need to connect to my tender lead and add a cigarette lighter to the bike
