Tru Blood/Best Buy

My afternoon purchase at Best Buy. Getting some interesting looks in my office when they come in and see this on my book shelf.

Finally!

I posted about that stuff last year before Halloween. It's only just now getting to Chicago.

Yep, I remember posting then too. At the time it was only available online through the HBO online site. Think they are only selling this at retail for a limited time to push the DVD set and upcoming new season.

I think I'm going to swing by BB and see if I can pick some up on my way home.

The Maryann storyline in S2 almost made me quit watching....... with werewolves being added in S3 I might be out for sure.

Pretty sweet and not as tart as other blood orange juices. Drinking one bottle and saving it and leaving the other bottle closed.

The story sorta follows the books, but then branches off. The books are selling well, and honestly, I think the show is *much* better. I wouldn't turn it off right away.

I picked up three bottles last night on my way home. The Best Buy on Butterfield was already sold out, so I hit a different one on my way home. Each store only got a limited number of T-shirts and Tru Blood. I figure I'll make a mixer with one bottle this weekend, and save the rest till I can find a 4 pack to put away and not drink.

One thing though, I thought I recall these bottles looking a lot nicer. I wonder if they've dumbed them down to save money or something.

Update:

We broke open some Tru Blood this weekend. I mixed three glasses. Each with about 5oz of Tru Blood, and just a splash of liquor.

TB + Taquila = Everyone liked this. It tamed the sweetness of TB, and was sorta Margarita like

TB + 151 Rum = Super Sweet a bit too girly, but good

TB + Bacardi Dragon Berry Rum = Baby Aspirin (I really liked this one)

Overall everyone liked it....till I told them how much a bottle of Tru Blood costs. Going to try more mixes in a couple weeks when we have our Post Apocalyptic movie night.

I was headed the same direction, but it actually ended pretty well. It just got crazy wierd there for a while.
