Illinois 529 - any good?

I know some of you have kids on here. Does anyone here have a 529 plan through Illinois' BrightStart program? I've heard mixed reviews on it and wondering what you all think. Any better options out there?

I use it I make a quarterly contribution and I also have the visa card that earns money for it. I'm sure you could get the same return if you invest in other things. This just seemed like a why not it can't hurt?

Use a private plan, the IL one is completely jacked due to mismanagement. I have one for each of my kids through Waddell and Reed.

+1

All it takes are two pieces of paper getting voted YES to start allowing the state to borrow against it.

First to allow the borrow/rape of the fund, the second to actually do it.

Don't think it could never happen, especially in IL.

Everyone Exaggerates

We're being taken for a ride... agaaaaaaain.....
