But is it waterproof? Built to mil-spec standards?

My phone is. Hell it took a dunk yesterday when my kayak tried to become a submarine.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Why would it be? I sure wouldn't want the added size and cost for it to be mil-spec.

iPhone costs more than my Quantico. Plus it works when wet which we needed yesterday for retieval from the creek before the storms rolled in.

Right, but most iPhone users wouldn't want to increase the size of the phone to make it mil-spec and IP67 rated.

And of course the iPhone costs more. It's a better phone for what the vast majority of people use the phone for.

Rob, why Steve Jobs didn't consult you before creating the iPhone4 is beyond me. I'm sure he severely regrets it especially after everyone that buys the new phone takes it hunting and drops it into a muddy Wisconsin river.

Well, according to Rob, the phone should probably be able to survive a heated, high pressure water spray.

Though, IP67 is harder to design to meet (I've done both multiple times). Sucks either way.

Must just be me, but I don't see much difference in the new iPhone.

In my opinion, the iPhone does everything great, but make good, clear, undropped phone calls. Talking to someone on that phone is painful! To me, it just happens to be an iPod Touch that happens to be a phone as well
