Isn't apple the same way...every f'n time I go on our home computer, there is a message that I need to update iTunes. Makes me want to throw my wife's nano into the garbage disposal. Is this only true b/c it is a windows machine, or are there as many updates if iTunes was running on a mac?

I don't see the big deal. He's holding his breath a long time, but that's all that is interesting about this video.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Thanks, was not sure and that is the only program that gets in my face with updates. I guess what bothers me even more, is that half the time after the update is complete, it fucks with the sync settings for the nano and all of the sudden I hear my name yelled in desperation to resolve the issue. Ok, end rant.

Black belt, the weight (single weight) is on the small of his back.

Neat video concept, I have watched free dive competitions before on TV and that did not look like a long or a deep dive comparatively.

Nevertheless, a cool video, thanks for sharing it with us.

Anything is possible with conditioning and training, but he seemed to have too much energy at the end for being that deep.

I've been diving for too long, and there are too many questions about the physiology of the free dive that keep me wondering. At 330 feet, that's equal to 11 Atmospheres, which equates to a partial pressure of O2 = 2.31, which is neuroligically toxic to the central nervous system.

The other is how much O2 is in his initial lung volume and how slow does his metabolism have to be to make that last for 4 minutes. As his depth increases, his air consumption rate increases, so he's using O2 at a higher rate. The biggest problem with that is how he was using his muscles to "climb" back out of the hole since he had no fins on. Muscle use requires O2. As his O2 is used up, then the partial pressure of O2 is decreasing. When his depth becomes shallow, and the atmospheres come closer to one, there's a high risk of a Shallow Water Blackout. With the amount of energy he expended, I don't see how he was concious at the surface.

Good Job if it's all real : I would have drowned long before he ever got to the bottom.
