Baby Bunnies

I have 7 baby bunnies in my back yard. I'm not sure if the moma is taking care of them or not. One bunny is dead, I think it was a still birth. To keep the dog out I kept them in the nest but I put a milk crate over them with a log on top. I went home at lunch and they are all alive and well. Maybe the mom is getting in there maybe not.

Anyone want a baby bunny? LOL!

I'm surprised they're not nested up in a stack of old motorcycle tires.

I found some baby bunnies in my grandma's yard when I was a kid. Problem was, I found them with the lawnmower.

I was always told that if a human touched the nest or the babies themselves that the mother would abandon them. They look pretty young. I don't know if they'll survive without mom.

Sure are cute, though!

My uncle's black and white rabbit raped my gray rabbit and the babies came out brown, like the color of a wild rabbit. Seriously. It was weird. The fucking idiot veterinarian told me my rabbit was a male so I thought it was hilarious that they were having sex. Fast forward a couple months and I had baby rabbits running around.

And then WHAM!, the jaws of death close down upon those furry little heads spilling grey matter all over, and blood dilutes the water as he crushes every bone in their bodies, swallowing them whole. Nature is a bitch sometimes.
