Doesn't look all that different than the OC at MCRD San Diego, or the one in Camp Pendleton.

I'd love to have one around here. I loved the OC.

Scary thought I qaulified to try out for the Seals in Boot Camp, Glad I chose a different route and went in the Seabees So I could build those courses instead of having to run them.

This is gonna hurt!

thats kids stuff.

I do that stuff everyday stalking odysseys.

The army's badasses of badasses test is badass.

I think it is week long, with 1 hour of sleep everyday. Running 10 miles with 50lbs of weight. Plus all the other stuff they gotta do. Makes Chicago Performance marathons look like its something for yuppies.

My buddy completed it with more than enough time to spare, and said that it wasn't that bad. Said it wasn't easy, but not as bad as most of the Navy guys were making it out to be.

Then again, he was already a Ranger, a LRS operative, and a SERE instructor at that point -- he decided to not go on and actually start BUD/S because they didn't guarantee that he'd be allowed in due to some vision problems. Sort of gave him a half yes, half no.

So, now he's going to SF selection -- what Taledarkside was talking about.

Looks fun though Honestly does not look impossible to do in 12 minutes. Bet you its mainly the Weaver and that Rope Climb right after a Cargo Net climb is what gets most guys. The Weaver sucks no matter what -- impressive the way he went through it.

Edit: Oh yeah. Just remembered -- can't forget, like any good military school, they'll be smoking the living crap out of you before you go through this too, and have you do something stupidly challenging and also graded after too -- the Army Air Assault school even -- they smoke the living crap out of you, have you go through an obstacle course, then tell you to run a timed 2 mile -- and thats not even spec ops, haha.

Kim

Meh, saw a lot of talking and a lot of walking in that. Yuppy marathons are tough too though. How many times can you leap over your Beemer and pop your collar on your pink Polo shirt? It's not easy.
