Drama venting thread.

Have a problem with another member vent it here and now. I want all of this backstabbing drama shit over and done with. Air your grievances now and lets get this shit worked out amongst ourselves. But remember that can be done with out flamming, flamming will get you banned. keep it civil and lets get this shit out in the open.

hey

I'm not really venting, more like stating a hopeful wish...

I'd like to ride with people that care. Meaning, if I get stuck someplace they will come back for me, if I am slower to the stop sign after a pile of sweepers or twisties they wait for me. I'd like to be able to drive down the street with and not worry that we are going to fast and that some cop will pull us over for going to fast. I'd like to trust to the people that I ride with. That's all.

speeding is anything over the posted limit. I know that. Everyone who lives in IL should know that...anyone who drives should know that. But why take Mannhiem at 90 at night where I know cops sit and wait? Why not take it (in certain areas posted 40) at like a decent speed over 45-50 so as not to piss off everyone? That way in case some of us don't want tickets or want to waste a 1/2 hour explaining to the cop, 'i was just trying to catch my group'. Stuff like that I guess is what I mean.

I mean I understand on a 6 lane highway at night past 9 pm that some cops are out. But on Lake Cook Road, Rt 83 and such roads like that yes during a certain mile period you would get up to say 90 but as soon as you got close to cars or someplace you knew a cop was waiting or someplace you had to turn, you slowed down, the rest caught up and you ALL (I mean ALL) continued on.

I liked the old days of riding (which weren't THAT long ago) in this group when my only complaint was my butt hurt from riding 150 miles in one night, my visor was full of bugs, and why that jerk in the car cut us off? Or we got stuck at the light, thanks for waiting on the side of the road (fellow rider) so we knew where to go cause we'd never been there before. How thoughtful of you. Etc, etc, etc.

Hell, I haven't been on a group ride yet this spring/summer and I have the summer off (sort of).

Anyway, from what I have seen and heard, I just hope people aren't getting too comfortable and confident, or even cocky. That is when the inevitable can happen...and it hurts. Even without this attitude we, as sportbike riders, take an additional risk.

I don't know how many of you have seen an accident in person, but it isn't something I wish upon anybody. This is one of my reasons for not going on every group ride. Don't get me wrong, I still go on spirited rides, but I am choosey (sp?). Like BusaDave said in another thread, if it doesn't feel right...I am out.

I guess for the moment I just want to say that "ride your own ride" needs to be said over and over but saying it and not acknowledging group psychology and assessing the skills and experience of the group is going down a dangerous path.

Hopefully I won't hear "He rode his own ride" at a memorial service.

And to those who feel that crashing is learning I wish you enough crashes to learn without getting hurt or hurting someone else.

Otherwise, have fun and be careful. Also, try to remember that every cage encounter with a motorcycle contributes to our public image as riders. No matter what your riding style, if you are not considerate of other drivers, the law and the insurance companies will come down on us all.

No kidding. At least when Oddy posts, we can use spell checker.

Example. "in a dark room, with them tied up, and a gun up there anas"

ANAS?

BTW what went on ?

OK, I've sat on this long enough....

OKOKOK...NOW, I have a real problem with Champ.....being my brother and all, I've had to put up with him for nearly three decades, now that is asking a lot of a guy. Im mean, come on....loook at him....He's a mamoth....almost a freak of nature huge. I mean, he dwarfs his ZX9 for cryin out loud. He almost makes it look like a pocket bike.

Not to mention, that he beats me at almost everything....can you imagine how frustrating that is? To always be behing him.....in his shadow. Now if I only had something I could beat him at!

Oh wait....that's called the TRACK.......

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

And that is probably the truest statment that could posible be made.

Now why would we actually want to shed light on our personal greivances here? When we can wait for the next group ride and then come and make another 8 page thread of nothing but bitch, bitch, bitch? Where's the fun/excitement in that? Isn't this a soap opera board? am I in the wrong place? I thought this was, "Days of Our Lives!"

This winter she's getting a fender eliminator, rear wheel hugger, maybe new exhaust. Everybody likes a good back end!

Oh, maybe I'll just steal Kim's V-rod. SOMEBODY'S got to use it for the ONE thing it's good for
