Mysteries of Motorcycling

I'll start... ask questions about motorcycling that have no direct answer.

Why does a 40 hp bike with border line bicycle skinny tires and thats close to 40 years old go faster down a tight twisty road than 185hp leading edge, fat tire liter sport bike?

Why does the general bar / harley crowd who claim to be bikers have no interest in any other kind of motorcycling than all their similar looking cruisers that just sit outside the bar?

Why are you more of biker than me because you ride straight to bar on your harley and are scared of the rain and I ride 2600 miles in 6 days and I ride a Honda?

image v. substance. Some people want to be motorcyclists, others just want to be seen as motorcyclists.

How can a simple machine elicit addict-like behavior from otherwise reasonable people?
We see our friends and family hurt on them, risk life and limb ourselves, and spend a good portion of our income on them....why???

What logical, rational explanation can be given for 2 wheels and a motor making people disregard death, broken bones, and money spent, and keep coming back for more?

Why is it physically impossible to not smile when doing a wheelie?

Why does riding around in circles, trying to get back where you started as fast as you can, and destroying perfectly good (and expensive) tires feel so damn good?

What the hell is it about vintage motorcycles that are so damn cool!?

Why does fun factor sometimes have absolutely zero connection with horsepower and outright power?

Why is PBR, at $11/30 pack, better than top shelf beer?

Why do we never truly trust our kickstands? To this day after turning off the bike and leaning it over onto the kickstand I use the slow delicate movement of someone on the bomb squad clipping the red wire.

Why hasn't any motorcycle maker created a solution for tripping the traffic light signals in the ground. Must riders always wait for a car to get behind them to trip the sensor, or must we buy magnets and other gadgets to help. They can develop airbags, traction control and abs for bikes but can't create a stupid device to let sensors in the road know we are over them?

Why do pringles cans hurt so much?

Why are most liberals highly illogical?

Why do some chicks smell like the inside of a large seashell that has a dead creature in it?

Why do harley posuers only focus on Harleys and dont recognize any other M/C as a actual M/C? Cause they are posuers and are not true motorcyle enthusiasts.

Why does most POO smell?

Why do we put slicks on perfectly good dirtbikes?

Why is it that I have more fun on a 30hp 250 than a 250hp 1K?

Why does 170 MPH in a 1/4 mile get mundane?

Edit for tnat..

Why does right wing and nutcase go hand and hand?

I only have one and it has annoyed me for years

Why do people CONSTANTLY try and categorize "bikers"? - Two wheels, a motor, throttle and brakes - GOOD

The difference between both bikes must be more than 2hp worth. They only make each bike faster compared to itself, not necessarily faster than another bike. This is very technical stuff, and I don't expect everybody to understand right away.
