DC Decals Changing of the Guards

Some of you already know. Some of you already spilled the top secret beans, so I'll make the official announcement.

Dean at DC Decals has come to a point where time and resources do not allow him to continue operating DC Decals. As much as he has enjoyed working with all of you, he has chosen to bid farewell.

Dean started DC Decals a few years ago to provide us a local source of die cut vinyl graphics. I've had friends that operated vinyl graphics businesses and had been intrigued by the industry for about 10 years at that time. I got into motorcycles again and decided to start a vinyl side business doing numbers and such! About the same time as Dean. Knowing that Dean is a great guy and the community is very small, I knew I could not and did not want to compete with him. It would be silly to compete in such a small market. Dean has since become a good friend and we had recently talked about expanding DC Decals together to provide additional services.

Over time things have changed and he unfortunately doesn't have the necessary time to devote to the business.

Dean has offered to me and I have accepted the opportunity to take over the operations of DC Decals. For the immediate future as I get my head around the business, things will not change much. You will still have the same great services available to you. All of DC Decals agreements, gift certificates and sponsorships will be honored by me at minimum through the end of this year. My logic being if Dean says your cool, then it must not be to far from the truth.

Over the next few weeks and months, I hope to add new services and products. For a fresh look, I will be starting up a new website under the name VinylSaurusRex.com You can blame that on Corey (PHKZ24). I think started that name as a joke. Over time, it's grown on me. I've gone over so many very serious, professional business names which were taken and this name just makes me laugh each time I say it. It's catchy. It sticks in your head and it's fun. If business can't be fun, then why do it! The website should be online in the coming week. There's already a Facebook page. Just search for "VinylSaurusRex." Over time we'll have examples of our work and other communications / information posted up there and on the website.

I hope to continue working with the CLSB community. If you need anything, PM me here or message us on Facebook till the website is up. A few of you already have. I've been very busy learning the nuances of the software and hardware. Which there seem to be many of lately. If you need something and it's not on the Facebook pages or website, drop a line. Maybe your not the only one in need and we'll add those products or services.

I've spoken with Ken and already made a fresh batch of CLSB stickers as well as the 10th Anniversary stickers. PM me or Shelly, "Evil twin" if you need some. They will eventually available for purchase on the websites and a portion of the proceeds will go to support CLSB operations.

I'd like to thank Dean for the opportunity and wish him the best of luck in all that he pursues. (that a bad choice of words?)

In good time. Have to keep the paying people happy first. I'm working on a logo to go with the font. Anyone a cartoonist / graphic artist?

Vinyl is sticky. So it must be related. Keep it clean people. No stickers of dinosaur porn yet. OK? Lets make it through the week. There's a challenge for this group.
