Yep, saw that yesterday. See what happens when the middle class grows at 1 million % and now people start buying cars and use them on road infrastructure designed for only a few. Heard a lot of the traffic was semi trucks too. Imagine coming into work a week late and blaming it on traffic. Got to wonder how many people said fuck it and just left their cars there and started walking or how many cars ran out of gas. All those parked cars can not help much.

Traffic filtering bicycles

I just got back from a week in Shenzhen, China for work and holy shit, I have no idea how people drive there. Mopeds going everywhere with no regard for lanes/laws, nobody obeys street lights and just go whenever they choose, buses that just merge and don't even bother looking. I thought Chicago was bad during rush hour, but I would gladly take the traffic here over the traffic there.

Chinese people drive like that over here too.

You can't negotiate turns. You can't signal properly. You can't maintain speed. You can't parallel park. Hell, you can't drive, honey. Shit, I can't swim, I know I can't. So you know what I do? I stay my black ass out the pool!

At least here, you don't have to worry about a pack of mopeds with 4' x 4' x 4' cages of live chickens and ducks strapped to the back or a family of 4 on a single moped
