Netflix for the iphone released this morning

Oddly enough I had looked for it last night and the search was still saved in my phone when I picked it up this morning.

They had claimed it would
I know it doesn't cache in advance
I loaded it up in my stairwell and figured it would get a nice buffer on my wifi and then I could watch tv on the way into work - I made it halfway down the block and it stopped.

Testing up here in my highrise kind of sucks as signal sucks.

Just figured I'd give the heads up to all the iphone people waiting for it

Luckily I am on wifi all day at work and all night at home, thus I don't really end up relying on ATT's craptastic network that often..

That said while latency is crap and things like browsing are slow as hell.. Downloading a 10mb app took like 20 seconds?!

Is the movie list the same as what's availible for PC streaming? How is the quality?

thus far I have watched about 1 minute on it
It seemed good, but I was on wifi and how hard is it to stream something looking good on a screen that small

Looked about the same as Hulu to me

I didn't add or remove anything, or verify that my entire instant queue was there - didn't even think to check that

about time. i hated that they didn't have an app out to manage the queue. I know there were 3rd party apps to do it, but this should be better.

Have that and Hulu on my iPad - Yet to "begin" them as I don't care to pay $10 a month for each just to watch shit on my iPad - When I travel, I might fire them up....

Your instant queue is there. It remembers where you left off and I'm running it over 3g right now. Seems fine so far. Of course your mileage will vary over 3g

I had JB Iphone and I was using IPad netflix app with UID Faker and worked awesome.
I worked over 3G and WIFI and for 45 min. movie could suck up 135mb of data. I bet since now this is a native Iphone app that data dransfer will be smaller.

Now I have Android phone and no netflix for now but I heard they hired some guy to do the app.

I would say netflix is the better value of the two.
I have the 3 disk plan but I keep meaning to downgrade to one.. but then I back out realizing I really don't care about the extra.. what 4$ a month

Yeah, just not "watching" that much to justify spending anything on this thing

Come Winter, that of course may change.....
