Where to legally dump tree branches?

So, I trimmed my trees and I've got some pretty nice sized branches to dispose of. I'm not going to cut them up and put them into lawn/leaf bags. Is there a place I can dispose of them? I was thinking of strapping them to my trailer and taking them to a landfill or incinerator? Isn't there a landfill in Naperville by 75th and Greene road?

Call your village. Waste Management in Romeoville will take them if they are neatly bundled under 6', or we can call the village and the chipper will be out within 48 hours at no charge.

I'd rather not bundle them. How do you arrange the chipper?

In Romeoville if we call the village we don't have to bundle, only point the cut end at the street.

+1 I happen to do branch pickup as one of my duties for work.
A neat pile and ends facing the street is a huge help. Also if you have a bunch of twigs bundle them up with twine So I can just toss them in the chipper all at once.

The chipper guy is out 45 minutes after we call. He loves tossing stuff in it.

put an ad on craigslist for free firewood. People with firepits are always looking for exactly what you have.
