I have some pm's from a guy selling them for 215 shipped
I'll look up his info

ah... I don't have the email - this is from the NESBA board - PM the guy there..
This was based on a thread on NESBA about the gopro cheap and some of the nesbians were being a bit douchey...

Re: tell me more about the deal for the gopro

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry - I don't tell people anything besides that it's $212 shipped to the lower 48, and it's a reputable dealer. Once you are definitely ready to purchase (meaning you are committing the capital), I'll put you in touch with them, and you can do the deal.

Sorry to be so secretive, but as you saw in that thread, there are people who will deliberately try to kill the deal because they can't match the price. The dealer is abiding by the MAP policy of the manufacturer, which is why I can't put the name on any forum. You also have to agree to not use their name anywhere. For me, that's an easy accommodation to buy a great product at a very cheap price.

Thinking a good deal would be retail plus some stores are tossing in a memory card.

I paid $240 for mine from Indysuperbikes about 6 months ago, and I feel like I got a deal. Obviously there are better ones out there now. $299 for camera and card sounds really good to me.

That's a good deal with the 32gb card.

If you're thinking of putting the cam on your helmet, Contour HD is a better option because of its aerodynamic advantage over GoPro.

I've been using Contour on my helmet with the included 3M sticker mount and its been great so far.

you're fast enough that the gopro makes a difference?
wow.
I'm hella fast when i go flat out and it doesn't bother me.. Maybe I just have stronger neck muscles?

seriously though - one thing about the gopro is they are anal as hell about the card.
I had 2 different cards in my HD that were nothing but problems - i switched to the Kingston Class 4 they used when they developed the camera and it's been flawless.

you don't need a 32gb card for track days btw.. i usually shoot 8-10gb a day on mine - so if you clear it after every track day you should be good.
2 x 16gb cards costs less than a 32gb card - plus it lowers the chances of losing everything if you are using the same card two days in a row and something goes wrong..

oh.. and didn't i just post up above some guys selling them for 212 shipped?

Yeah, the NESBA board is not so much. Is class 10 overkill?

bah.. I'll sign in and email the guy asking for his email address.
He might have sent it - I had a couple other emails from him bashing on some toolboxes on there going into someones classified ad acting as users (but really owners of another store) and pimping the store.

the guy who sent me the 212 thing was a disgruntled bystander

Update for Case #47757 - "High vibration"
Hi Greg,

We have not seen any noticeable improvement by people using class 10 cards. Class 4 cards shouldn't have any issues losing video.

shit that's possible
i almost bought some ducati/dainese pants there the other day for 75% off - when i got to the counter he said they were only 50% off so I didn't get them (they were like 600$ retail)

they had oakleys half off - and girl oakleys 75% off.. they are blowing shit out the door right now.. so.. maybe

might have to stop by again.. it's wrong and i feel like a vulture picking at te dead... but.. it is cheaper
