It's actually very good vodka google for reviews. Have yet to meet someone who hasn't liked it.

In your opinion, compared to something staple like Absolut, how is it? Better, on par, worse?

Worse. I would buy Absolut instead of that.

Prefer "42 Below" if I am going to spend money on "premium" vodka - http://www.42below.com

Another one I picked up from a brewery in Michigan is called "Divine" - http://www.divinevodka.com/

I have Crystal Head here, pretty harsh if you ask me. But it looks cool on the shelf.

It BURNS going down in a shot.

GOOSE has gone down hill the last 2 or 3 years. Crystal head tastes like crap. I Stick to Ciroc. I got hooked on it when it was dirt cheap before puffy started to take 1/2 of there proffits. Its really not even technicaly a vodka cause it is made from grapes instead of grains.

42 below was actually suprisingly good when i tried it.
Ultima was crappy. its made by the patron company trying to take some of the vodka market.

Oval vodka if you could ever find it is another one of my favs. tastes like water, and very little burn or odor.

Crystal head was crappy when i tried it over 2 years ago. Its a gimic for the new school vodka drinkers, they just went a different route then having ed hardy on the bottle. Its an over priced trophy bottle filled with a mid level vodka that would sell in the 20 dollar for 750ml range if it wasn't in the shape of a skull.

I have to agree with the people in here that said it's not very good. Cool bottle, didn't like the vodka very much, and vodka is pretty much all I drink.

I'd buy a bottle of Goose, Ciroc, even Kettle before I buy Crystal Head, not taking price into consideration.

Want to know something VERY scary? - Blind taste plain old everyday "Stoli" - You'll be pleasantly surprised.....

Hhhmm... this stuff must have gone down hill. Last time I had it was in CA late 2008, and it was great. Haven't opened this bottle yet, when I do and taste it will be sure to let everyone know. I wonder if them expanding their market some caused them to change it a bit to fit some tastes or hurried production or something...

Unless I'm drinking it on the rocks or getting a table somewhere, I go with plain old ordinary Smirnoff. Can't taste a difference when it's packed with Redbull anyway. Stoli is also a great alternative, but for $17 a handle at Jewel, Smirnoff takes good care of me.

I use to think the same thing, but after years of drinking Goose/Ciroc then making the switch to Smirnoff, there is no difference.
