hahah, I'll take this as saying there are no good indy shops inside the city no big deal, I ended up just going with a shop in Schaumburg.

The story: I was out to see my Doc who is still in the burbs about my seperated shoulder. Went out a couple hours early so I could try Meatheads at SOW (3/5 stars on my burger scale). Jumped back in my car after lunch to head to the library to get some reading done and kill time till my dr. appt, the car starts then dies out.

Call for a tow, and he shows up and correctly guesses the fuel pump. We actually got it running again by beating the tank with a piece of wood while trying to start. So I drove it to his shop, and began my mad dash to get my appt done, get a rental car, drive back to the city, then back out to Des Plaines for my first day of Grad School.

What a fucking day.
