$2 for $10 what a deal

I shit you not, I just saw a commercial selling $2 bills for $10 each. Are people that stupid? How do commercials like this get approved for air time? This was just flat out sad to watch wtf Anyone else see this?

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

Tell ya what, I'll give you a MUCH better return.

I'll sell you $10 bills for $20 each. (ratio 1:5 from them vs. 1:2 from me)

WAY better ROI comparatively.

People who still have them and know they arent worth anything as a collectible. I have stacks of them that my grandfather used to give out for b-days and xmas.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Hell I got screamed at last year for not taking my helmet off at the bank (visor up and EVERYONE there knows me anyways). But yet they never said anything about the 3 guys in hoodies in the corner on a 95F day.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Next time you go to the bank ask them for some when you get cash back. Typically they will give you as many as you like. It's fun spending 2 dollar bills.

Was the commercial for "Silver Certified" bills? All bills use to be "Silver Certified," this is no longer the case though.

Otherwise what Nick just said, banks hand them out freely.

Ugh, $2 bills are not rare, spend them anywhere.

The cafeteria at my work was $2 for a full meal. I paid in $2 bills, they would grumble at me because "there is no slot in the cash drawer for $2 bills". But actually, cash drawers are designed for $2, it's when the store adds checks and whatnot that there is no longer a slot for $2. But that's just me being technical.

I tag my $2 bills on www.wheresgeorge.com and see where they go after I spend them. I think too many of them end up in sock drawers because people think they are rare.
