Why do old people???

Refer to to the sleeves of thier short sleeved shirts as "shirt sleeves"

As in, "its warm out, this is shirt sleeve weather"

This annoys me to no end.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Ha - My old man was born and raised in Jersey and he had this accent

Warsh Rag (wash rag)
Ar-inge (Orange)
Pahk the Cah (Park the Car)

Funny sum bitch he was with that shit - We use to rip on him all the time for it

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming WOW, what a RIDE !!"

And when has the words sale and sell start being used interchangeably?

See this soo much now, "I am saleing my car", "I have a widget for sell".

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

the one that bugs me is "it's over by there" or "over by 'der" for you born and raised Chicagoans. (you don't need the "by"!!!)

Look, I can appreciate this. I was young too, I felt just like you. Hated authority, hated all my bosses, thought they were full of shit. Look, it's like they say, if you're not a rebel by the age of 20, you got no heart, but if you haven't turned establishment by 30, you've got no brains. Because there are no story-book romances, no fairy-tale endings. So before you run out and change the world, ask yourself, "What do you really want?"

Sure ya do! That way they can't get mad at you for giving them wrong directions, since you're giving a general location instead of an absolute.

I can't stand it when people say 'ya' instead of yeah. Irks me to no end!
