The residents of the state of Hawaii and the territories of Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) consume the most Spam per capita in the United States. On average, each person on Guam consumes 16 tins of Spam each year and the numbers at least equal this in the CNMI. Guam, Hawaii, and Saipan, the CNMI's principal island, have the only McDonald's restaurants that feature Spam on the menu. In Hawaii, Burger King began serving Spam in 2007 on its menu to compete with the local McDonald's chains. In Hawaii, Spam is so popular it is sometimes dubbed "The Hawaiian Steak". One popular Spam dish in Hawaii is Spam musubi, in which cooked Spam is combined with rice and nori seaweed and classified as onigiri.

my ex GF left me her spam o musubi mold when she moved back to hawai'i. you just make sushi rice, stick it in the mold (which is the width of a slice of spam), layer the spam over it and wrap it in seaweed.

actually there's a place in chicago called aloha eats... can get the spam o musubi there, too

FiReBReTHa, i put a recipe for spam fried rice on the other thread.

Spam isn't all that evil.

It's just processed pork shoulder. McDonald's McNuggets (and other processed chicken patties) are arguably worse... along with non-kosher hotdogs.

It IS fatty and they dump tons of sodium in it, but otherwise, it's just another meat in a can.

Now those little canned Vienna sausages... mmm, those were the bomb!!!

Slice 2 pieces about 1/4" thick and fry them on a medium-high heat in a half stick of butter until it starts to caramelize, turn over and caramelize the other side. Serve between 2 pieces of toast.

Thank me later.

Make sure to buy 2 cans.

I always throw my can of spam at the first hooker I see and end up regretting later on when I find a better quality hooker that I should have thrown my can of spam at. At that point, I have no more spam though

Sardines are delicious. Plain on a saltine... mmm... but I also like anchovies. A bit salty but still tasty.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
