Neil Pert, apart from being an avid motorcyclist, is IMO one of the more over rated drummers.

...he's a pitter patter drummer. Lots of show, not as much go...meaning for me he's all up top, lots of speed and technical stuff, but really not a whole lot of bottom end, the real roots of a kick ass drummer. Kind of typical for guys with ENORMOUS drum sets.

Give me Buddy Rich, John Bonham, Ian Pace, Ginger Baker, Carmen Appice, Richie Heyward any day.

I'll go all night on Rush...just never "got" those guys. Keep 'em.
