I need a Gear Closet

Holy cow... how can two people have 7 riding jackets, 3 one piece leathers, 4 pair of boots, 4 helmets, and God knows how many pair of leather gloves I've thrown in the spare bedroom... Im not sure all of them are even a pair! .... AND I am online shopping for a new jacket and back protector right now.

What do you guys do with all of your gear?? I need ideas on where to stuff all this stinky leather.

Can you get Arai helmets? I need a new helmet before next season starts too. I can't remember which Arai I liked... so I will probably wait until the show again in March and try them on again. It was either the Profile or the Vector.

clean your gear and take care of it

i keep my gear practically brand new. so down the road if i dont use it anymore i can sell it for a decent return.

so sell what u dont use anymore to make room. no point in keeping something for no reason and at the same time help someone out looking for gear on a tight budget.

I can do that.

I have a free standing coat rack you could have for out there. Its about 2 feet wide, tall enough to hang a suit from and has a shelf on top.

Gear Bags are a great buy - I have 2 for MX and SM - What is left of my street gear just hangs in the front closet

In al seriousness T-Momma, Fabreeze the shit out the gear, let it hang to dry and pack it in a Gear Bag - Motorcyclesuperstore.com always has them on sale - I like the rollers too like Mopar has

We have a garment rack in the basement that used to hold a lot of the spare stuff, but most of it is hanging in the front entry closet. Now it holds 3 or 4 old 1 piece suits and misc. MX stuff.

In the closet I think there's 2 onsies, 2 sets of leather 2-piece, 2 sets of textile 2-piece and then two more textile jackets. I have a set of MX pajamas in a bag and there's helmets up on the shelves.

There's a pile of gloves in there too, I've lost count. I hear you on not knowing if they have mates or not.

I ALMOST did that this year after several above 100 track temp days, because I couldnt take it anymore.... but I didnt because a guy at track told me not to, he said he got burns because he sprayed the inside of his leathers. I washed my liner, but, its the part that's beyond the liner that I can't get. Ima gonna hafta hand wash that shizzle nice and slow.

Big T, I like your garage closet deal. Im going to have to just buy one for my gear and he can just leave his crap laying wherever he wants if he doesnt want to use it.... which is funny. Because we each have our separate areas. Our own desks, our own closets, our own bathrooms, etc. Mine is organized, his crap is all over the place.... DRIVES ME F-bomb CRAZY!!!! (I cant even talk about it anymore because Im getting annoyed)

Leather Therapy has a product out that you can wash them in the wash machine. Works good too. I tried it on my Teknic suit and it worked great and it didn't affect the dyes in the leather. As far as storage I kind of took over my wifes scrapbooking room.
