Wow..it was much worse than I expected.

Could they have picked any worse hosts?

It was unbearable to watch them copy every single aspect of the original show.

It was fucking terrible. Personally I don't mind so much that they copied the format more so than the fact that all 3 hosts are about as funny and original as a box of raisins.

The show had so much potential to be awesome. Way to fuck it up History Channel.

It was painful to watch. Tanner Foust to car shows is what Ryan Seacrest is to American Idol. Nobody wants to see either of them but they keep on popping up in places.

I smell cancellation before the season gets a chance to run it's course.

They didn't say anything bad at all, that was part of the problem. If a car was shit Clarkson would say so. The guys last night were too busy acting like fanboys to give a proper review of the cars. Having some journalistic background should be a prereq because they sounded like morons. And WTF with Rutledge wearing only plaid shirts, fucking hillbilly.

Jalopnik said give it 3 episodes, that is going to be tough because you can't create chemistry and they obviously have none of it.

After watching all of the show last night I said to myself "that can not be as bad as I think it was"....guess it was.

Holy crap. You have a giant bear that tries to also talk NASCRAP, Foust who can drive like the devil but needs Paul Tracy to beat his ass, and Needles from Rescue Me.

Really, this is the best that they could do? Even though I think Jeremy Clarkson is a tool at least the dude has some grit and personality. What a waste of a good idea.

I'm glad I didn't bother with it. The sneak previews I saw a few months ago looked terrible; you could tell even from the short snippets that there was no chemistry and the hosts were dull.

After seeing the clips, I went back to (British) Top Gear, season 1 and watched a few episodes. They were clumsy and nervous, but you could tell they had potential and had my interest pretty quickly.

I doubt this US version will last long...even the dumb hillbillies will get bored of this quickly (IMHO).

Copied poorly...the interview with Buzz Aldren was pathetic (the guy walks on the moon and all they ask about is what cars he owned?) At least clarkson actually takes some kind of interest in the person before asking about cars. 60 minutes of my life I'll never get back

Look, I can appreciate this. I was young too, I felt just like you. Hated authority, hated all my bosses, thought they were full of shit. Look, it's like they say, if you're not a rebel by the age of 20, you got no heart, but if you haven't turned establishment by 30, you've got no brains. Because there are no story-book romances, no fairy-tale endings. So before you run out and change the world, ask yourself, "What do you really want?"

Would have been fine if the real Top Gear was never seen. But comparing the two is an insult. The show is fine if you just like watching super cars ride around or want a peak at cars you may never see in real life. Very low entertainment factor though. Will stick to the Brit Top gear.
