Ipod question

I am looking to buy an ipod for both my daughters the Christmas. Since there mom is not computer literate I am going to be the one that will be loading the songs onto the ipods. Is it possible to do that with 2 different Ipods? Does Itunes recognize and register only 1 Ipod per pc???

I want to have these bad boys load up before I wrap them up.

It is possible youll have to configure both to the PC and it may be a bit of a hassle everytime you plug a new one in but i am sure it is possible i thought ive done it before

Everyone needs a healthy way to relax, mine Church, and two wheels, a stretch of winding road, and a pipe loud enough to give me headaches and make squirrels explode. (Fixed curtousey of PWRMAD)

Nothing is impossible the second we say ill try your already admiting you can be defeated, and the second you say i cant or its to hard youve already failed.

I manage all our iPods from my iTunes account, I just have it set to manually synch the songs.

Hope it works out. I will be trying it myself pretty soon as I have a new nano on order for my wife and will confiscate her old one.

Good Luck.

It works, my wife has a shuffle, daughter has a nano, and son also has a shuffle. All on the same PC. She just has them sync to their individual playlists.

I asked the same thing last week. The only suggestion was that there might be some kind of discount at the apple store on black friday, but will end up waiting in line for a $5 savings.

I ended up ordering from the apple website because they carry the red one.

I think you can get it from newegg or similar and save on taxes otherwise I would consider ABT, I believe you can swing a 5% discount if you sign up for their email updates.

Same here, an iPhones and 4 iPods syncing to 1 iTunes. No need to select manual syncing.

Make sure you name the nano's with each girls name, and itunes will see them as different mp3 players. There are a few deals out there

if you shop Black Friday, Target is giving $15 giftcard plus an additional $10 giftcard for buying an iPod 8GB nano. then you can use the giftcards toward buying the second one.

This is the only thing they sent me in an email earlier today. It's pretty uninformative for an advertisement. I'd expect there to be some sort of discount on Black Friday, but Apple products are pretty much never on sale. I'm still going to check it out, though. I want a Macbook Air. Or a smaller Macbook Pro, this 17" bastard is HEAVY!

Also: I've met 8-year olds who can load songs on their iPods. My nephew is one of them (My brother made him, he's a nerdy kid by genetic default.)- why don't you just show them how to do it? Or is that giving them too much?

Abigale knows how to add/delete music on her mp3 player. It's not an apple but she uses itunes. She also knows how to add music to her wishlist on itunes. I then check my collection of music on the puter, with friends and family and in the cd collection before she buys them.

Dont think this was mentioned as I skimmed through the thread, but if you order from Apple online you can have the ipod engraved w their names or something special.

Good point, I forgot to mention this. Also, it does not delay the shipment. BTW, received the ipods I ordered 3 days before they estimated.
