That car looks awesome but for the price (when they came out) you could get soooooo much more for your $$

Thank you. I've always been in love with the NSX. I was a bit disappointed when I got the chance to drive one, but aesthetically, it's the most beautiful Japanese car ever!

Such a well sorted out car but as was mentioned above, it priced itself out of competition.

Neat video. I was hoping an early 90's one could be found in the teens by now. From looking at autotrader, they're around 35k. you can get a 2007 or relatively new corvette or other recent american sports car and get more amenaties, power and value, but..

Randall 'Memphis' Raines: I've been in L.A. for three months now. I have money, I have taste. But I'm not on anybody's "A" list, and Saturday night is the loneliest night for the week for me.
Roger the Car Salesman: Well, a Ferrari would certainly change that.
Randall 'Memphis' Raines: Perhaps, Mmmm. But, you know, this is the one. Yes, yes yes... I saw three of these parked outside the local Starbucks this morning, which tells me only one thing. There's too many self-Indulgent wieners in this city with too much bloody money! Now, if I was driving a 1991 Acura NSX Sport Coupe ...

Loved the way they looked. so far ahead of their times that they still look good now. I am convinced that somewhere in Japan they had an Italian design the bodywork for that car.

NSX was never about being the fastest or cheapest. It had a specific goals and it achieved them gloriously.

One of my high school teachers (independently wealthy) had one and all the students loved when he drove it in.

I keep seeing a yellow one around the Lincolnshire area. They still look great and I'd rather have one than a brand new corvette.

1991 Acura NSX Sport Coupe ...

That dude is out of his mind at that price. I've seen a 1991 with 69k on the odo with no issues and good cosmetics at $17k within the last year, debated picking it up over my S2000. Wouldn't be a bad car at that $17k mark either.

One thing I have heard from NSX owners is that the Targa top versions have a TON of body flex and that they cannot hold a true line when being pushed. So you might want to stick with the fixed roof ones.

For those who don't know, Senna's death is why the wheels on a F1 car are now tethered to the car.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

I just got a kick out of the old discman tape in the tape deck going to some kind of cd player I'm guessing. Ahhh early 90's cars w/o cd players... I had the same thing going on in my SHO.

That's good to know, 17 seems much more reasonable for that age than 35.

you sure???, senna died in 94, tethers werent introduced till 99

http://www.grandprix.com/ft/ftdt027.html
"On the fateful weekend at Imola in 1994, when Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna were killed, a collision on the startline between Pedro Lamy's Lotus and JJ Lehto's Benetton resulted in a wheel being thrown over a grandstand and hitting a policeman. That prompted the FIA to investigate means of preventing wheels from being torn off completely. The multi-car accident at the start of the 1998 Belgian GP gave the investigation further impetus, and led directly to the introduction of wheel tethers for the 1999 season. These are steel cables designed to prevent wheels flying off by linking the wheel hubs to the chassis."
