try this, we used to do it at the sushi rest. I worked at:

Run hot water over skittles in a strainer till they are a light color almost like an easter egg (so the vodka doesn't turn brown).

Soak Skittles in Vodka for a while, and you can take skittles out after you like the intensity of the flavor.

and boom ... Skittles Vodka, good for martinis and other stuff.
