Question for the dorks

Tried to post this in the Geek Squad forum but its blocked thanks to the words "an*l fisting" in the forum description so I'm posting this in the Open Forum.

Need to develop a script that looks for a file with a time stamp less than a specific time. If time is greater than specific time, then it sends email OR kicks off process again once file has arrived. This needs to be a Windows based process.

If you could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. Grassyass.

the command is find. The switch you are looking for is -mtime for 'modified time'

something like:

find . -name "*" -mtime -#DaysAgo -print | YourScript.

Example... I want to send the file name to a script called BLAH.sh for every file modified in the last 24 days starting at the present directory '.'... the script BLAH.sh does whatever it does, taking the file name as arg1

find . -name "*" -mtime -24 -print | xargs -n 1 BLAH.sh

You can use a + number for anything modified GREATER than X Days ago.

Everyone Exaggerates

So be honest...when all is said and done...are you going to be getting the leftovers from cents being rounded off by whatever company you work for?

Nah, Just take the rounding difference if the number to be rounded falls between x.xx11 and x.xx22.

Much harder to detect that way, and you'll still make out.

I was setting up the new SQL server over the phone with someone down in FL and we were going over a few intricacies of GP security and our version of SQL so she sent me a link with some code. I had it batched and launched before the goto session she was watching refreshed to see what I was doing.
