Rockford questions

Dave and I have a friend looking to move to Rockford for a job. He and his fiancee are looking for a 2 bedroom apt around the east side. Any suggestions for places, or places to avoid?

All of Machesney Park is nice and the east side of Loves Park is nice. Roscoe is also a good place to live

Rockford itself is hit or miss. Dont even bother looking at anything west of the river

You can pretty much drive around and visually see if the areas are shit or not

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

Tom, they asked me because they knew I could get info here. They are young, and wanted advice. I suggested the drive around thing, but they wanted some idea of where to start.

Also, go hang out in some local super markets... That will give you a decent pulse of the *people* in the area.

Very true. I just noticed this the other day here in NJ. Surprisingly, people are much more polite and well dressed.

I'm with Maynard.... OUTSIDE of Rockford, but nearby. Machesney Park, Loves Park, Roscoe.... If they don't mind a little further to travel, Freeport isn't too bad.

Ride smart... stupid hurts.

Everyone crashes. Some get back on. Some don't. Some can't...

Godspeed 788!!! We miss you!

in NJ? They are just being nice to you cause they think you have a bomb strapped to your chest.

In all honesty I have family near harlem and riverside and its calm. I tho wouldnt live any where in rockford. everything that lived in chicago and was kicked out moved there to be honest. Hell look at the crime stats alone. I would stay a bit east in the little county areas and rent a house for the same price and less hassle.

Many people That live in Freeport drive to rockford to work. If they are interested in a place this far out I can give the areas to look and what to avoid.

I live in Cherry Valley. Most people avoid going west of 11th street, but that's a very general rule. There's a lot of nice areas if you look around, but they really need to drive out and see the place. There are really nice looking remodeled apartments/townhouses that neighbor with absolute shit.

My father in law lived in Cherry valley for years, It was very nice.

Rachel/slowass was looking to rent out a room as well I think.

If wanting to stay east I would look at cherry valley or belvidere. Rockford really isn't that bad overall, my prefrance is to stay east of the river, there is not much on the west side anyways except the metro center. I go to rockford area often and have many friends that live in the area, including downtown, loves park, machesny park, cherry valley, and belvidere. I like all the areas.

Make sure they go to Carlyle Brewery on State st next to the river.

I was there last night. Homemade jalepeno soft pretzels and a flight of their 12 micro-brews. So good
