Gift Ideas?

no time for shipping left, so it would have to be something I can pick up somewhere.

I need to give something to my wife from our 17 month old son. I got a card for her stocking, but I am trying to think of something else. I could do jewelry or a picture frame, but I wanted to see what other ideas were out there.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

If you go with the picture frame, do the digital. Pre-load it with a bunch of pictures as well.

He's probably too young but if you can get him to do a finger painting or some type of artwork you can get it framed.
Take your wife's favorite pic of your son and have it turned into a painting (probably too short of notice tho)

i was thinking of a finger painting of his handprints or foot prints. maybe something like this on a tshirt that says something like his favorite/preferred parent.

They helped him make something at daycare for her and wrapped it.

I did jewlery on mother's day and a really nice picture frame (not a digital one) with a photo of them for her bday in Oct.

This thread was funny and had some good ideas.

I think I am going to do with a classic children's book they can read together. Well, he can't read right now, but you know what I mean.

Mary Englebrecht's A Mother's Journal

Someone gave it to me and it's a book you can fill out as a mom, to your child. She can write in it from time to time from now until he's grown. I'm not a fan of the design but the sentiment is really nice, You might be able to find something similar if you think she will really hate the design. Anyway, you can find it at bookstores, baby stores, etc.

And if you can't find at a bookstore, try the christian bookstores. They are always fully stocked on this semtimental crap.
