+1. Resolutions are for losers. A person shouldn't need the start of a year to improve themselves, they should do it for the sake of self-improvement.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

The gym was full of resolutioners in brand new gear yesterday. I had to wait to use the pool. That almost never happens. Fuckin resolutioner motherfuckers. If you have to wait until the beginning of the year to make a change in your self then you are setting yourself up for failure.

Why kind of person resolves to take up smoking and does such a half hearted job of it? I made the same resolution to take up smoking and have managed to choke down half a pack a day!

I don't usually like resolutions, for the same reasons posted, but as of 3 Jan my schedule changed, so I figured why not take advantage of that change and fit in some things I've been meaning to? So I don't have a resolution because I'm too lazy to do it any other time of the year.... but my resolution is to start working 8-4 everyday. I had been 10-6 and it sucked because I never could find time to fit in a run during the week. Now I can.

I haven't broken it yet, but I'm going to kill someone if I don't have a cigarette soon....

but that's okay if I do. I resolved to quit smoking, not quit killing people.

My resolution is to not stimulate the economy as much as I did last year. Doing ok so far, but I am really tempted to call up CP to order a couple things. Need to resist temptation.

you doin the cold turkey style? Shit's tough broham. I do the jive turkey style. Taper off. Cut down drastically but don't actually quit. Start with a smoke in the morning, afternoon and night. Then one in the morning and another at night. Then just the morning. Then none forever!

I tried tapering off for December and only lasted a couple days before I was right back to my normal amount, if not more

I'd rather be completely miserable for 2-3 weeks, than moderately miserable for 6 weeks. Cold turkey or nothing for me.

I also quit drinking for the month of January to assist quitting smoking. Man, I'm going to be a fucking blast at parties this month!

I resolved to drink more, ride more, and fuck off more. So far I'm sticking to it. (not a joke)

For 20 years I've worked shift work. I took a position on straight days now. I plan to spend time with the family, go out with friends (or at least be able to make some), and enjoy weekends.

My wife thinks we're a bunch of Top Gun wannabes with our call signs, so for future reference, I'm Roger

So far I've kept my resolution to not spend excesive amount of money on toys and toy accesories, but that is most likely because I've been spending it on stuff for the house. I need a big band aid for my wallet.

Oh, and I am still at the gym, and it appears that it has cleared up quite a bit.
