Need Help, Where to hold a small indoor event

for free?
so no marriott etc etc.

I wanted to get my fish nerds together for a meeting to have a speaker to speak about DIY LED fixtures and even show how easy it is to make one.

I cant think of ANYTHING so I figured I should ask. I was hoping to find something around oakbrookish area, 88 meets 355 etc

there are people from out west to way up north so I wanted to find something in the middle for everyone to meet at. But of course price is going to lead us. (free)

Any tips/advice you can give is appreciated!

The Panera's in South Barrington has a meeting room free for the asking. Seats 20-30.

12 to 18 should be about right. might be a bit tight with more than that.
If they're from Green Bay, it might be more like 8 to 12 people max though. -snicker-

drop by and check it out...

Everyones already given you the same suggestions I had. When I formed up meetings for ZombiesHunters.org we used Paneras, Libraries, and sometimes flash mobbed at Cabela's or other large, high traffic areas.

Seeing as how you're looking to have a regular meeting, I'd stick with Library or Panera.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
