Ask gone in three , he knows motorcycle values.

Best thing to do is check completed listings on ebay to get a guideline.

Nah, not yet. ALTHOUGH, I almost traded a bike for a 996 lately for street. I love the look of Ducati.

This is for a friend.

I have checked all the references you all have mentioned, plus KBB, nominally, in crap condition $2200, perfect $3300. Also have MCCs numbers as he is looking to trade it in.

The numbers just seemed ridiculously low to me.

Thanks for your thoughts. Anyone want a perfect Monster for say... $3k?

Appreciate the help folks.

Three thousand would be a great buy . I was thinking $3999.00 for an asking price.

Brian unfortuantly that bike is really not worth that much thats why the #'s are so low. Its kinda like the ninja 250 of the Ducati lineup

Don't forget, the Monster is like an SV. It's not the top of the line bike in their line up. But it's a darned nice bike. I paid $800 for mine, but it was an insurance crash job. It says Ducati on the side, so it just seems like it should cost more.

Heres a good one - sorry to threadjack - I think I have a buyer for my bike for $3500!

Obviously he knows nothing about motorcycles.

They are out there you just have to dig. I found my hypermotard at a steal. Just because there are none out there doesn't mean the market is hot right now. Just FYI

Don't bother reasoning with this guy. He thinks the entire market is hot just because he cant find the bike he wants.

I know you cant seem to let go of this subject , but do try to understand that I am not a buyer of cookie cutters like you . The bike in question is not an everyday find . Try finding another M620 with 1500 miles that a member can vouch for . Good luck.

Since you are a master of locating bikes , find me an S4R or an '08 or newer Speed Triple for a reasonable price in good shape , with low miles , within 75 miles of chicago.

Again -- just because you cant find a particular bike at this time in your area doesn't mean the market is hot.

Its been a buyers market lately due to the bad economic conditions. That was my point from the beginning.

I'm done arguing with you.
