Here I Go!!!!

Well a little over 8 months after my accident, 2 surgeries, countless hours of physical therapy and a ton of working out to regain strength I have passed the medical doctors at MEPS and have been recleared to head to Boot Camp with the Marines on May 23. My new job is 2844 Ground Communications Organizational Repairer. I really didn't have a choice in the pick. I have a high line score and they needed to fill that spot so that's what I got. I'm excited it's been a long road to get back but it's finally here again.

Now I just got to not fall off my bike before "hand"...(pun intended)

You wanna see my itinerary?

Good luck!

Though as a side note, you always (well, unless you scored really shitty on the ASVAB) have a choice in your MOS. Recruiters are like car salesman. Fortunately, they compete with the guys from other branches in the same building which can work to your benefit. So if you're not totally satisfied with the job you're getting, fight for what you want!

Yea I wanted to leave right away also so I took an available spot and from what I gather with the Reserves you leave based on the job. That was the job on that date. They needed to fill it I wanted to leave so it works out. Plus it sounds like it will have a good crossover into the civilian world.

You wanna see my itinerary?

awesome dude! best of luck with a marines knowing you you will fit right in. I may have to confiscate your keys out just to make sure no curbs pop up in the meantime

Everyone needs a healthy way to relax, mine Church, and two wheels, a stretch of winding road, and a pipe loud enough to give me headaches and make squirrels explode. (Fixed curtousey of PWRMAD)

Nothing is impossible the second we say ill try your already admiting you can be defeated, and the second you say i cant or its to hard youve already failed.

Good things...glad to hear the recovery went well. That strength takes a heck of a long time to get all the way back. Be patient.

^Yup I'm gonna be a hills Marine or Hollywood Marine. I really don't want to have to deal with swamps and sand flees anyways.

Reserves??? Well, you'll almost be a Marine.

J/K. Best of luck to you.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
