Spelling and the internet...

http://www.someecards.com/2011/04/06...gs-on-facebook
The 35 best obnoxious responses to misspellings on Facebook

Seems like we need a little more spelling abuse on this site!

Brake vs. Break, etc...

Typos are where you get the characters in the wrong order or you double tap a letter or skip one. Using the wrong word entirely, well, that is a little bit different.

Whatever happened to our sarcastic Spelling Police members?!

I'm trying to find out when the use of the words "sale" and "sell" became interchangable. See this all the time on CL and other places now. "I'm saleing my car" or "I have a car for sell".

Reckless isn't spelled "wreckless". Wreckless implies you didnt wreck.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Yeah, but look up the definition of sell...it's frustrating, but it fits where they use it. Though I don't believe "I have a car for sell" is correct either.

Idiocracy

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/

"Private Joe Bauers, the definition of "average American", is selected by the Pentagon to be the guinea pig for a top-secret hibernation program. Forgotten, he awakes 500 years in the future. He discovers a society so incredibly dumbed-down that he's easily the most intelligent person alive."

It's not a great movie at all, but sadly I can see this is where we end up down the road.

Hmm? lets see my spelling has improved and will continue to improve. It's my guess we can't say the same about any engines that need rebuilding.

I believe I'm holding all the cards.

I'd love to help with your motor, if you'd like?
