HPT Trackday July 10th, 2011

I know there's an STT Trackday at RoadAmerica the same day, but I was wondering if anyone was planning on going out to Kansas for the Heartland Park Topeka trackday, I haven't found out cost yet ... but I'll update this post when I find out any additional info. I really know almost nothing about this track or trackdays here so any helpful info would be appreciated!

BTW ... I got a job in Kansas City, MO over the summer - so that's why I'm heading to a track out here, any other trackday rec's?

Thanks,
(Track Photo courtesy of Wink ... from 2009)

GREAT track. Greeny's crashed there too!

One of my favorites. If only it wasn't so far. You'll have a great time.

My personal favorite track out of all I have ridden. That old map does not show the new T1-T2 A few years ago they straightened it out a bit, think tripple digit chicane if you get it right.

oh greg

dammit now i wanna check my data and see how fast turns 1-2 are. i like the first half of a lap, not a huge fan of the back section. it's a pretty fun track though. i think my strengths were in the carousel and up the hill outta 7 onto the strait.

You don't like the back section because you haven't done enough laps there. Thats the area where I make up all my ground or gap to hold off the Superbikes.

I'm signed up ... $175, time to buy a folding chair and a pop-up canopy.

Last time I just attached a tarp between the trailers we used, but I'll be going by myself ... any rec's on Canopies? I went to costco but apparently the one near me doesn't carry one.

if you are going to be by yourself i dont recomend a 100. id go 64 or 48. i just bought a 36sq foot one and love it. can pick it up when its set up and move it. can fit my bike and two people. it folds up tiny and cost me $40 at dick's
