He passed him in a double yellow at who knows what speed - but it probably wasn't a legal speed. Why would the motorcyclist think the cops would really care what two guys on a sport bike say? They know what sportbikers are doing when they're out riding out on those roads.

I agree that the jackass in the truck should chill out and just shake it off, but the bikers weren't in the right either in this situation.

Was there any followup on this? I'm wondering what happened to the redneck in the pickup (I doubt anything).

I wish the camera kept on rolling ... I wonder if the cops actually showed up and the redneck in the pickup truck was still there when he did.

If the driver is going under the speed limit, a double yellow pass is allowed. I don't know if he was or not.

For example, in some states, it is not against the law to overtake vehicles in the presence of solid yellow lines if it is safe to do so. Section 3303 and 3305 of the Pennsylvania driver code are examples. Vermont State Law also allows passing of the double yellow line when no traffic is on the opposing side, however, one must pass quickly and return to the proper side.

Guy in the p/u was going well under the speed limit, so the D/Y pass was ruled legal. The rider received no violation. There was a 20 or so page thread on this posted on SBN about 2 weeks ago, as well as the full vid and a link to a local Kentucky sportbike forum with posts from Strats(?), the one videoing I believe.

But lets say the rider was legally in the wrong for an illegal pass. His punishment should be death or dismemberment?

Not sure where you came to that last conclusion. My first post here was everyone was in the wrong in some way. Even at the stop sign, they should have diffused the situation with a simple "I'm sorry, man..." because you never know what shit some good ole boy might pull from their truck and do. Plenty of time to call the cops when the whacko is gone. You can be 'right' and still be dead.

I was watching the video thinking about where I would try to pass the pickup!

"Backroad" that motorcyclist like to ride.

That looked like a normal road with residences on both sides. Bikers are douschebags.

Got to love them good old boys... There was a whole lot of stupid stuff going down, but the truck driver really needs to be beat down hard.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

lmao @the idiots saying that the bike was in the wrong for passing

that fucker in the truck was not affected by being passed and needed to stay in his lane and fucking chill. maybe someday if one of you gets in a situation where someone tries to kill you for no reason u may have a moment of clarity.

what u think some asshole on the road can play god for crossing a double yellow. fucking get real
