AT&T Uverse, Xfinity (Comcast) or ?

I tried to look if there was a thread about this but couldn't find it. For phone, internet and TV how would you rate their system/service/cost if you use one of these? TIA.

I'm such a cheap ass miser I dropped my home phone and tv service over a year ago, with streamable Netflix I haven't missed it a bit!

I used to have U-verse, when my speed wasn't cutting it anymore I asked to upgrade and was told that due to my proximity from the hub a faster speed wasn't available at my address. Brilliant. I switched over to Comcast and though I have no great love for the company i am getting a slightly better speed for a much better promo price and the tech even hooked up a coax splitter for me so now I get basic channels on my TV as an added freebie.

Currently I'm paying $39/mo for 15-18mbps or something like that with the modem rental.

I just switched back from u-crap to com-crap. I like com-crap better. Like Rawkit, I was too far from the hub to watch/record two HD channels at once from my house with u-crap. Unfortunately this little, unfortunate piece of information wasn't disclosed until we were about 75% trough the install process. For our location u-crap was the worst.

Comcast, IMHO, has way better HD on-demand content and higher internet speeds. I am regularly in the 30+ meg range up and 5 M down on CC. With u-verse I was lucky if I got 12 up and 1.5 down. For reference the u-verse package was sold to us as an equivalent to our CC package at the time. Honestly u-verse was about 40% of our old CC plan.

Yuck on both. I got wide open west and I'm happy with them. Magic jack for house phone if I ever use it. And clear for wireless.
I'm a cheap skate too so I won't be paying for digital cable anytime soon. I always find something else to do rather than sit in front of the tv for hours on end.
