wonder if she's related to the girl that just helped total my soon to be ex-wife's car today. Fullerton and Ashland. Totaled a 1997 Accord that, other than paint was a flawless car.

As if it's not hard enough trying to get divorced without losing my ass now I have this to deal with as well.

Turned left in front of my ex-wife even though she admitted that she saw her coming. Of course she's from MI and has "no-fault" insurance.

no she didn't, but what the hell was she thinking? The only thing I could think of that I did wrong is that I didn't have my turn signals on. But I was in the left turn only lane so I didn't think I have to. Might have to change that line of thought.

people are idiot drivers, but thats no excuse for not using your signals. a signal can prevent you from becoming pancake, telling someone off from the grave is worthless. avoid it.

orient yourself in the left side portion of the lane rather than the right, it positions you in the drivers line of view

The details are in the youtube comment, but I'll repeat it here with extra info.

If you noticed in the video, when douchbag reversed his whole front bumber came off, along with his front plate. Police from the 19th district (on his way back from getting coffee) saw me and I told him what happened. Have gave a quick flash and we went to the station to finish paper. About 30 minutes later as he was finishing up paper, I hear on the radio that they got the douchbag. He was trying to go back home. They brought douchbag back and I was just hoping he has insurance. I guess it didn't matter much because I had full coverage. The officer showed me his insurance paper. The douchbag did not have a valid driver license, all he had for ID was a Mexican Consulate ID. At first, they wanted just to give him tickets. But I begged them to lock him up. And they did longformed him. It made sense to put him in the system (photograph & fingerprinted) to verify who he is or if he had warrants. He was charged with following too close, no valid D.L., leaving scene of accident.

I was hurt. My back was sore and I was out of work for almost a month. When I call his insurance company to file a claim they told me his policy was voided due to nonpayment. That's pretty slick. Go online, apply for some insurance. Print the "insurance paper", but don't pay. When they get stopped by the police, they show this fraud insurance paper. BS.

So anyway, later I filed my claim with my insurance company for damage for my bike. I also filed claim for the uninsured/underinsured motorist (bodily damage) against my own insurance. I'm glad this insurance was MANDATORY in Illinois. It essentially paid (and then some) for itself.

As for court, I went to his initial court date and they set another court date. The judge told me he did not need me to come for the next date and if they need me they will contact me. I did not get a chance to tell the court about the video that I had...A few weeks letter I get a letter from the states attorney saying that the defendent "...pleaded guilty to charges of following to closely and no valid driver's license. The defendant also provided the court with a copy of his automobile insurance..." WTF!!! What happened the the charge of hit & run causing injuries. And the douchbag gave you guys the same fricking fake insurance paper.

I gave the state's attorney a call to see what punishment this douchbag got. She said it was very severe. I asked what it was and she said he was fine $100. That's Cook County for you.

I have the douchbag's info if anybody's interested. He works as a bust boy or dishwasher at Golden Nuggets on lawrence / ravenswood.

You were wrong. Left turner yields to right turner on green light (not green arrow). Even then, it's better to be late then be dead. You should not have gone into the intersection knowing (or should have known) you could not clear it promptly.

Nice hit and run on #2 though. ouch. I'd move.

Good advice. I wonder why I wasn't taught this in MSF. Or was I and I wasn't paying attention. I don't think it would have prevented fullterton/damen incident though. Lady know I was there and tried to go around me anyway. You can see it in the mirror.

On the other hand, in the 2nd accident it might have helped. Wait, I was in the left side of the lane. Nevermind.

Chunk would be pretty fucking pissed if Chunk got rear ended by a brown muffucka with fake insurance. Chunk is pretty sure that Chunk would've gone to Jose's house and burnt it down along with the 18 other browns that live there. Chunk would totally get away with it too because nobody cares about them people.

actually all these vids are your fault because a responsible rider would be wearing turn signal gloves, which make u visually wider than an unlaidened african elephant.

It did in Indiana when a girl lost it in the snow and i moved over and ended up pegging her in the left front wheel. Her rim got a small dent and i saved her ass frm hitting the wall, my bumper/fog light exploded. It took about 10 months to prove the accident was caused by her losing control of her vehicle in a snow storm. It was a year later when i finally got my money back and it removed from my insurance policy.

OK seriously. Why not just go to his place of employement, and peacefully show that to his manager, and every customer through the door? A good ass kicking is in order. If he would have stopped, thats an accident. But to run you down, and then flee.
