Godspeed...

Please keep Pfc. Mike Olivieri and his family in your thoughts and prayers. One of 5 soldiers killed in Iraq last week, he is a native of Homer Glen and will be buried today.

The procession just passed by our office and I must say it was much more emotional than I had expected. I hope that the enormous procession, the efforts of the police and fire department to escort it, the Freedom Riders trailing behind it and the many people that lined the processional route with flags can serve as some comfort to the family that has offered the greatest sacrifice for all of us.

Godspeed Mike Olivieri, Jr.

Another useless death that could have been prevented. Just fyi I am not saying the soldier was useless just the reasoning behind him being there.
