Yup, and Jerez is pronounced Hereth.

Yes...it's pronounced correctly.

Go to Spain and a good part of the country speaks that way. It's because the one of their Kings spoke with a lisp and it was disrespectful to correct the King so everyone started talking with a lisp.

Try communicating in Valencia with everybody talking that way....it's a bitch trying to understand them.

What about Your-Ghey versus WHore-Hey?

Or NeuKIRKner or Reuben CHOWis?

Some are more correct than others, but if the announcer says 'drive' a bike and talks about what the levers are for then he should be less concerened with regional name pronounications

I can answer both questions. If you are from the part of spain like my grandfather was that pronounces it "th" then ok. If you are not from there then you are a douchebag if you do.

And if it has a split crankcase or a dry sump oiling system then it's porsha. If it doesn't then it really doesn't matter.

And for those of you new to the sport, motorcycles have two wheels, not four and the riders wear a protective layer of treated cowhide, generally referred to collectively as "leathers".

Thanks Speed, now I get it

Indeed I did. I just shake my head in disgust. At least most often the Eurosport guys are engaged in high level and technical discussions that actually have a lot of insight and interesting points.

The AMA, all forms including SX/MX (and their stupid 411) seem to constantly be catering to the "casual" fans that simply don't exist and dumb down the entire broadcast for it...screwing the 99.9999% of people watching that already know all of that shit!
