Plate flipper/whiteout?

A friend of mine is looking for a plate flipper or white out device. I've seen these about 2 years ago and helped another friend install one before.. Can't seem to find them anywhere anymore - anyone use these?

Thanks for the links. I did google it but I was hoping for some insight from people here that have used them and have positive feedback.

You can use a simple self-locking cabinet door hinge for the same setup.

There are some serious pentalties if you get caught with one.

ok, here is a tip that I used to see at cool peoples bikes... use zip-ties in the top two holes to mount the plate, at about 45mph the plate will start to hover and will be invisable. ( use good zipties otherwise you need to get a new plate..) If the cops pull him over, he should say that the bolts fell out and he had to rig it up with the zip ties.
Tell you friend to man up.

Until today I don't get it, if the cop is that close that he can read your plate, or you are that slow that you are not just a blur in his vision or camera, don't even run, you will just end up like this:

Have your friend do his own research if HE is looking for it.

Plus if you really think about it for all the times you don't get caught the one time you do will most likely cost more then those tickets would have

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

As long as he doesn't crash off a bridge and drop 40 feet and sever his arm he should be ok

Dude it's skill, and you gotta look fly... modern radar systems shut down at 251km/h due to inacuracity . I gotta sind the youtube video, there is a hot chick in a porsche testing it...
Anyway they couldn't handle it yet to send me I-pass charges for the last 5 years ( which would probably total more than 1k in fees and probably 100k in fines by now), so I doubt the cam in a car sitting at the side of the road, if setup to just observe the whole dash area of a squad-car will not even show any readable data of the plate, especially not at night with no plate light.

My friend isn't looking to run from cops - he's just looking to avoid the intersection cameras all over the place now. Probably for IPASS too.
I'll try that flip one from the link above. Thanks!

Ummm Im pretty sure the intersection cameras cant pick up the bikes. ive rolled through those hundereds of times and havent gotten a ticket......and if hes worried why does he just you know stop at the intersection. Because that one cop who catches that the bracket flips up isnt going to care what his reason is hes still going to get slammed with a fine for it

Everyone needs a healthy way to relax, mine Church, and two wheels, a stretch of winding road, and a pipe loud enough to give me headaches and make squirrels explode. (Fixed curtousey of PWRMAD)

Nothing is impossible the second we say ill try your already admiting you can be defeated, and the second you say i cant or its to hard youve already failed.

So your friend just wants to run red lights and steal from his fellow taxpayers by beating tolls, eh?

Sounds like a self-centered common thief to me.

Avoid paying the government and get money from the taxpayers? Sounds like welfare to me. If you get pulled over, just tell the cop that you're poor and didn't have time to fill out the paperwork.

I had a friend that had one of the plate flippers. Had plastic gears in it that would jam up and not work. Too much of a gamble for me. I just leave the plate off. If you get pulled over I tell them the plastic bolts broke. So far so good.
