It's to compensate for the 6 am phone call, you gotta treat people right ya know?

If it was on a Saturday night or something when they are sitting around doing nothing, waiting for my phonecall, a 6 pack of Beast is more than enough, but I'm going to drink at least 3 of them.

Yep, it's OK now, but probably will turn off like a light switch pretty soon. The main reason I say that is because of the interesting expectations people have this year, and everything that goes with it. The outright demands I get are hilarious, and the complaints are even funnier.

Yesterday, a guy accused me of switching out his rear wheel for another one, saying his wasn't that color when he brought it in. I changed his tire while he waited. I suppose it's possible for me to mix up two wheels from ALL the 15 year old Suzuki spoked cruiser wheels sitting around here, but not likely. It fit perfectly though.

It's all money related though. Nobody is happy any longer paying for anything for their motorcycle. They are pissed. Pissed someone might be making a dollar off them, pissed it isn't faster, pissed it isn't cheaper. Pissed you aren't doing more for them. It's totally crazy this year.

I think the status of the economy is getting to people's heads, like they are doing you this life saving favor of giving you business.

I'm hoping it's just people freaking out about their personal financial situations and not a permanent byproduct of the instant gratification disease the internet has graced us with. I guess we'll find out in a few years.

I think so, people have a hard time admiting that they cannot afford their hobbies anymore, and are trying to hold on to them at everybody elses cost but their own.

I think down the line, you'll be ok. Things will bounce back with the economy and most states will pass the sales tax on internet purchases so the playing field will even out for the brick and mortar shops.

On a side note, kind of funny how different retail industries work. For you, the internet shops are underselling you. For my mom, who runs a flowershop, the competitor's web prices are typically much higher then hers. And the people that come into the store are negotiating for a super deal, while people that buy online, just pay the asking price without question.
