wine recommendation?

don't know why but I've recently got into drinking. I've bought gin, rum, tequila, triple sec, vodka. All the alcohol needed to make a long island ice tea (my favorite!). I'm going to try to make other drinks too.

But I also starting to enjoy wines too. I know nothing about wine but prefer a little sweet (not too sweet) red wine. Anybody here a wine drinker and could recommend me the absolutely best testing wine? Price is no object.

Most red wines are not sweet. A blend might get you close to what you want. Go to a good wine store like Binny's or the Wine Discount and ask for a recommendation. I usually find Pinot Noirs on the lighter end and Cabernet on the heavier end of the flavor scale.

Good luck and ride safe,
Brian

Sounds like you might like a Rose'. It's not a full bodied red and it has a hint of sweet compared to most red wines. There were a couple of Portuguese rose' wines that were popular back in the day that I'd recommend if they're still available. One is Meteusse and the other is Lancers, I believe...it's been a long time since I drank Rose'... ask the wine guy at the liquor store to recommend a good rose' and I'd bet you will like it.

Look into a Petite Siyrah/Syrah. Older should be 'sweeter' thought even something as simple as 'sweet' is subjective to each person's palette... I was alway partial to a David Bruce 00 or 02.

Go to any store and ask for a German sweet red. That's what you're after. You should see my basement, English style bar......bar tending becomes an addictive hobby.

...only for the seriously quick!!!

Treasure those one beer buzzes, they will help your wallet and your waist line. Oh, and +1 on the German stuff for sweet reds.
